中秋上堂。雲散秋空。即心見月。舉拂子云。看家家門前照明月。處處行人共明月。騎鯨捉月。撑船載月。忽然月落夜沈沈。笑殺胡僧齒門缺。

Ascending the hall on Mid-Autumn: "Clouds disperse in the autumn sky: mind itself sees the moon." Raising his whisk, he said, "Look! Before every house gate, the bright moon shines; everywhere travelers share the bright moon. Riding a whale to catch the moon; punting a boat to load the moon. Suddenly the moon sets and the night grows deep—laughing to death the barbarian monk with missing teeth!"
