昔從太白凌霄去。今自凌霄太白來。不墮去來生死路。
展真云。看堂堂面目笑咍咍。且道。
笑向阿誰。以真指祖云。大家元是主中主。慣入驢胎與馬胎。

Formerly he went from Taibai to Lingxiao; / Today he comes from Lingxiao to Taibai. / Not falling into the paths of coming, going, birth, or death— / Unrolling the portrait, he said: / Look at his imposing face, laughing heartily! / And tell me: / At whom is he laughing? / Pointing with the portrait to the Patriarch, he said: / Everyone originally was the host among hosts, / Accustomed to entering donkey wombs and horse wombs.
