2.166

平生道德邁前賢。著漢衣冠拜漢天。自是名高閑不得。
阿難依舊世尊前。

A lifetime of virtue surpassing former sages;
Wearing Han robes and cap, paying homage to the Han heaven.
Naturally of high renown, he cannot remain at leisure;
Ānanda still stands as before in front of the Bhagavat.
