師六坐道場未稟承眾或是請師云待我涅槃堂裡拈出果臨終拈香云
The Master had occupied six seats as abbot without yet indicating whose dharma he inherited; when members of the assembly sometimes requested it, the Master would say: "Wait until I am in the Nirvāṇa Hall, then I will bring it forth." True to his word, when approaching the end, he offered incense and said:
