2.24

謝監收。上堂。金剛王寶劍在匣。有望風不犯之威。天童喝下飛出。變作無孔鐵鎚。輥入荒田亂草。任教日炙風吹。因甚如此。拈匙把筯知多少。不是知音不易知。

Thanking the overseer of stores, he ascended the hall:
"The precious sword of the Vajra King is in its scabbard,
having the awe-inspiring power that one dare not offend upon merely feeling its wind.
With a shout from Tiantong, it flies out
and turns into an iron hammer without a hole,
rolling into waste fields and tangled grasses,
letting the sun scorch and the wind blow it.
Why is it like this?
Picking up the spoon and holding the chopsticks—who knows how many?
Unless one is an intimate friend, it is not easily known."
