2.32

上堂。世尊道。一人發真歸源。十方虛空悉皆消殞。師拈云。既是世尊所說。未免盡作奇特商量。天童則不然。一人發真歸源。乞兒打破飯椀。

Ascending the hall: "The Bhagavat said: 'When one person discovers reality and returns to the source, empty space in all the ten directions utterly dissolves.'"
The Master raised this and said: "Since it was spoken by the Bhagavat, one cannot avoid treating it as extraordinary deliberation.
Tiantong is not like this:
When one person discovers reality and returns to the source,
a beggar smashes his rice bowl."
