日面佛月面佛（開口見膽。如兩面鏡相照於中無影像）五帝三皇是何物（太高生。莫謾他好。可貴可賤）二十年來曾苦辛（自是爾落草。不干山僧事。啞子喫苦瓜）為君幾下蒼龍窟（何消恁麼。莫錯用心好。也莫道無奇特）屈（愁殺人。愁人莫向愁人說）堪述（向阿誰說。說與愁人愁殺人）明眼衲僧莫輕忽（更須子細。咄。倒退三千）。

“Sun Face Buddha, Moon Face Buddha.” (When he opens his mouth you see his guts. Like two mirrors reflecting each other, with no image between them.) / “What things are the Five Emperors and Three Sovereigns?” (Too elevated! Don’t deceive others, that would be fine. Both precious and base.) / “For twenty years I experienced bitterness and hardship;” (Naturally you fell into the weeds yourself; it has nothing to do with this mountain monk. A mute eating bitter melon.) / “For your sake, how many times did I go down into the blue dragon’s cave?” (What need for such as this? You’d better not apply your mind mistakenly. Nor should you say there is nothing extraordinary.) / “An injustice!” (Grieves people to death. A sorrowful person should not speak to a sorrowful person.) / “Fitting to relate!” (To whom will you speak? Speaking to a sorrowful person grieves them to death.) / “Clear-eyed patch-robed monks, do not treat it lightly!” (You must be even more meticulous. Bah! Retreat three thousand miles!)
