垂示云。大凡扶竪宗教。須是英靈底漢。有殺人不眨眼底手脚。方可立地成佛。所以照用同時卷舒齊唱。理事不二。權實並行。放過一著。建立第二義門。直下截斷葛藤。後學初機難為湊泊。昨日恁麼。事不獲已。今日又恁麼。罪過彌天。若是明眼漢。一點謾他不得。其或未然。虎口裏橫身。不免喪身失命。試舉看。

The pointer says: In general, to support and uphold the ancestral school, one must be an outstanding hero. Only one with the skill of killing people without blinking an eye can become a Buddha on the spot. Therefore, illumination and function are simultaneous, rolling up and unfurling are voiced together, principle and phenomena are not two, and the provisional and the real proceed side by side. Letting go of a move, one establishes the gate of secondary truth; directly cutting off entangling vines, beginners and novices find it difficult to approach. Yesterday acting like that was an unavoidable necessity; today acting like that again is a heaven-filling transgression. If one is a clear-eyed fellow, not a speck can deceive him; but if one is not yet so, then presenting one's body inside the tiger's mouth, one cannot avoid losing body and life.
