10.19

全象全牛瞖不殊（半邊瞎漢。半開半合。扶籬摸壁作什麼。一刀兩段）從來作者共名模（西天四七唐土二三。天下老和尚。如麻似粟。猶自少在）
如今要見黃頭老（咄。這老胡。瞎漢。在爾脚跟下）
剎剎塵塵在半途（脚跟下蹉過了也。更教山僧說什麼。驢年還曾夢見麼）

The whole elephant and the whole ox do not differ from a cataract in the eye;
(A half-blind fellow; half open, half shut. Why lean on the fence and grope along the wall? One cut into two pieces!)
Masters from of old have collectively delineated them.
(The twenty-eight [patriarchs] of the Western Heaven and the six [patriarchs] of the Tang land; the old venerable masters under heaven are like hemp and millet, yet they are still too few.)
If you want to see the yellow-headed old man now,
(Bah! This old barbarian, a blind fellow, is right under your feet!)
Through every world and every particle of dust, you are halfway on the journey.
(You missed him right under your feet! What more do you want this mountain monk to say? Did you ever even dream of him in the Year of the Donkey?)
