古佛有家風（言猶在耳。千古榜樣。莫謗釋迦老子好）對揚遭貶剝（鼻孔為什麼。却在山僧手裏。八棒對十三。爾作麼生。放過一著。便打）
子母不相知（既不相知。為什麼却有啐啄。天然）
是誰同啐啄（百雜碎。老婆心切。且莫錯認）
啄覺（道什麼。落在第二頭）猶在殼（何不出頭來）重遭撲（錯。便打。兩重公案。三重四重了也）
天下衲僧徒名邈（放過了也。不須舉起。還有名邈得底麼。若名邈得。也是草裏漢。千古萬古黑漫漫。填溝塞壑無人會）

Ancient Buddhas have their family style (The words are still ringing in the ears. An exemplar for a thousand ages. Pecking, awakened (What did he say? It falls into the second category), / still in the shell (Why doesn't he stick his head out?), / struck once again (Wrong. Strike immediately. A double gong'an; it is already threefold, fourfold).
Patch-robed monks of the world try in vain to depict it (It has been let pass. No need to bring it up. Is there still anyone who can depict it? If one could depict it, he too would be a fellow in the grass. For thousands and myriad ages pitch black; filling the ditches and choking the gullies, no one understands).
