垂示云。建法幢立宗旨。錦上鋪花。脫籠頭卸角馱。太平時節或若辨得格外句。舉一明三。其或未然。依舊伏聽處分。

The pointer says: To set up the Dharma banner and establish the lineage's tenets is to add flowers upon brocade. To slip off the halter and take off the saddle-bags is a time of great peace. If one can distinguish the phrase beyond conventions, grasping one and comprehending three—if one has not yet done so, one remains as before, respectfully listening to the verdict.
