祖域交馳天馬駒（五百年一間生。千人萬人中有一箇半箇。子承父業）化門舒卷不同途（已在言前。渠儂得自由。還他作家手段）
電光石火存機變（劈面來也。左轉右轉。還見百丈為人處也無）
堪笑人來捋虎鬚（好與三十棒。重賞之下必有勇夫。不免喪身失命。放過闍黎一著）

Galloping to and fro in the realm of ancestral masters, a heavenly colt: (Appearing once in five hundred years. Among thousands and myriads, there is one or a half. A son inheriting his father's estate.)
Unfolding and rolling up in the teaching gate, taking different paths. (Already prior to words. That fellow attains freedom. Acknowledge his expert skill!)
Amid flash of lightning and spark of flint, dynamic shifts are preserved; (Coming right to your face! Turning left, turning right. Do you still see where Baizhang acts for others?)
One can laugh at a person coming to pluck the tiger's whiskers! (Well worth thirty blows of the staff. Beneath a heavy bounty, there is bound to be a brave man. He cannot avoid losing body and life. Let the ācārya off for one move.)
