鎮州出大蘿蔔（天下人知。切忌道著。一回舉著一回新）天下衲僧取則（爭奈不恁麼。誰用這閑言長語）
只知自古自今（半開半合。如麻似粟。自古也不恁麼。如今也不恁麼）
爭辨鵠白烏黑（全機頴脫。長者自長。短者自短。識得者貴。也不消得辨）
賊賊（咄更不是別。自是擔枷過狀）衲僧鼻孔曾拈得（穿過了也。裂轉）

"Zhenzhou produces large radishes; (Known to all under heaven. Strictly avoid speaking of it. Each time it is brought forward, it is renewed.) / Patch-robed monks under heaven take it as the standard. (How can it be helped that it is not so? Who needs these idle words and extended speeches?) / They only know that from antiquity to the present, (Half-open, half-closed. Like hemp, like millet. From antiquity it is not so; at present it is not so.) / How can they distinguish the white of a swan from the black of a crow? (The total dynamic stands out clearly. What is long is naturally long; what is short is naturally short. To recognise it is precious; there is no need to distinguish.) / Thief, thief! (Bah! It is nothing else; he is naturally carrying a cangue and submitting a confession.) / Patch-robed monks' nostrils have been caught hold of!" (Pierced through. Torn and turned around.)
