6.33

似海之深（是什麼度量。淵源難測。也未得一半在）如山之固（什麼人撼得。猶在半途）
蚊虻弄空裏猛風（也有恁麼底。果然不料力。可殺不自量）
螻蟻撼於鐵柱（同坑無異土。且得沒交涉。闍黎與他同參）揀兮擇兮（擔水河頭賣。道什麼趙州來也）
當軒布鼓（已在言前一坑埋却。如麻似粟打云。塞却爾咽喉）

"Deep as the sea, (What measure is this? The source is hard to fathom. Has not reached half yet.) / solid as a mountain. (Who can shake it? Still midway on the road.) / Midges playing in the fierce wind of the void; (There are indeed such ones. Truly failing to reckon their strength; exceedingly unaware of their limits.) / Ants trying to shake an iron pillar. (In the same pit there is no different earth. Nothing to do with it whatsoever. The ācārya practices along with him.) / Picking! Choosing! (Carrying water to sell at the riverbank. What did he say? Zhaozhou has arrived!) / A cloth drum hung before the porch!" (Already buried in a single pit prior to words. Like hemp, like millet! Striking, he says: Stuffing your throat!)
