【六四】舉南泉復舉前話。問趙州（也須是同心同意始得。同道者方知）州便脫草鞋。於頭上戴出（不免拖泥帶水）南泉云。子若在。恰救得猫兒（唱拍相隨。知音者少。將錯就錯）。

[64] Case: Nanquan later brought up the previous case and asked Zhaozhou. (There must be one mind and one intent; only those on the same path can know.) / Zhaozhou thereupon took off his straw sandals, put them on his head, and walked out. (Inevitably trailing through mud and water.) / Nanquan said, "Had you been there, you would have saved the cat." (Singing and clapping in accord. Those who know the tune are few. Taking error as error.)
