7.18

公案圓來問趙州（言猶在耳。不消更斬。喪車背後懸藥袋）長安城裏任閑遊（得恁麼快活。得恁麼自在。信手拈來草。不可不教爾恁麼去也）
草鞋頭戴無人會（也有一箇半箇。別是一家風。明頭也合暗頭也合）
歸到家山即便休（脚跟下好與三十棒。且道過在什麼處。只為爾無風起浪。彼此放下只恐不恁麼。恁麼也太奇）
𡎺（側六切塞也）磕（克盍切石聲同音榼）

"The gong'an completed, he came to ask Zhaozhou; (The words are still in our ears. There is no need to execute [it] again. Hanging a medicine bag behind the hearse.) / In the city of Chang'an he strolled about freely at ease. (So joyful! So unrestricted! Picking up grass with hands unrestricted. I cannot but let you go on like this.) / With straw sandals placed atop his head, no one understood; (Still there are one or two. That is of another family tradition. Matching on the bright side, matching on the dark side.) / Returning to his native mountain, he immediately desisted." (Thirty blows of the staff right under his heels! And tell me, where is the fault? Only because you raised waves where there was no wind. If both lay it down, I only fear it is not so; but being so is also exceedingly marvelous!) / 𡎺 (Ce-liu fan: to obstruct, block.) 磕 (Ke-he fan: sound of stones; homophonous with 榼 [ke]).
