7.37

雙收雙放若為宗（知他有幾人。八面玲瓏。將謂真箇有恁麼事）騎虎由來要絕功（若不是頂門上有眼肘臂下有符。爭得到這裏。騎則不妨。只恐爾下不得。不是恁麼人。爭明恁麼事）
笑罷不知何處去（盡四百軍州覓恁麼人。也難得。言猶在耳。千古萬古有清風）
只應千古動悲風（如今在什麼處。咄。既是大笑。為什麼却動悲風。大地黑漫漫）

"Both gathering in and both letting go—how should this be taken as the essential principle? (Who knows how many there are? Thoroughly lucid on all eight sides. They thought there really was such a thing.) / Riding a tiger has always required peerless skill. (If one does not have an eye on the crown of the head and a talisman beneath the elbow, how could one get to this point? As for riding it, there is no harm; one only fears you cannot dismount. If one is not such a person, how can one clarify such a matter?) / Having laughed, he knows not where to go; (Even searching throughout the four hundred commanderies for such a person, he is hard to find. The words still ring in the ears; for thousands and tens of thousands of kalpas there is a pure breeze.) / It should only stir the sorrowful wind for a thousand ages." (Where is he now? Bah! Since it was a hearty laugh, why should it rather stir the sorrowful wind? The great earth is pitch black.)
