復云。曹溪路坦平。為什麼休登陟（不唯南泉半路抽身。雪竇亦乃半路抽身。好事不如無。雪竇也患這般病痛）

[Xuedou] also said: "The road of Caoxi is level and broad; why cease ascending it?" (Not only does Nanquan pull back halfway, Xuedou also pulls back halfway. A good thing is not as good as nothing. Xuedou also suffers from this kind of sickness.)
