After this collection was put to the torch by Dahui and then repeatedly suffered the disasters of war, good editions in the world became scarce. Now having obtained a Sichuan edition, the collation is rather complete. Still fearing that in the text errors like 'hai-shi' and 'lu-yu' might not be entirely absent, if eminent persons of clear vision from the four quarters would correct and transcribe it, and provide instruction, it shall be emended again so that it becomes pure and refined as gold. How fortunate for the Chan school!
