一倒一起雪庭師子（恰似箇活底）慎於犯而懷仁。（識法者恐）
勇於為而見義（路見不平）清光照眼似迷家（東西不辨）
明白轉身還墮位（更上一層樓）衲僧家了無寄（且過一生）
同死同生何此何彼（刀斧斫不開）暖信破梅兮春到寒枝（收得返魂香）
涼飈脫葉兮秋澄潦水（來撾塗毒鼓）

One falling, one rising: the snow lion in the courtyard—(Just like a living one)
Cautious about violation, yet harboring benevolence. (Those who know the law are fearful)
Courageous in action, seeing what is right; (Seeing injustice on the road)
Pure light shining in the eyes seems like losing one's way home. (Not distinguishing east from west)
Turning around in clarity, he still falls into rank; (Climbing yet one more flight of stairs)
A patchrobed monk has nowhere to lodge at all. (Just getting through a lifetime)
Dying together, living together—what is "this," what is "that"? (Axes and cleavers cannot chop it apart)
A warm message bursts the plum: spring arrives at the cold branch; (Obtaining the soul-returning incense)
A cool gust strips the leaves: autumn clarifies the standing puddles. (Coming to strike the poison-smeared drum)
