皤然渭水起垂綸（老不歇心）何似首陽清餓人（少不努力）
只在一塵分變態（拈起拄杖云看）高名。勳業。兩難珉（放下拄杖云。雪竇猶在）

'White-haired at the Wei River, he raised his fishing line— (old, he does not rest his mind)
How could he compare to the pure starving men of Mount Shouyang? (young, they did not exert effort)
It only depends on a single particle of dust to divide the transformations; (holding up his staff, he says: look!)
Lofty fame and meritorious deeds—both are hard to match.' (putting down his staff, he says: Xuedou is still here!)
