無門曰。婆子只解坐籌帷幄。要且著賊。不知趙州老人善用偷營劫塞之機。又且無大人相。撿點將來二俱有過。且道那裏是趙州勘破婆子處。

Wumen said: "The old woman only understood devising strategies within the tent, yet in the end was caught by a bandit. She did not know that old Zhaozhou is adept at raiding camps and storming strongholds, and moreover has no posture of a great man. Scrutinizing them, both are at fault. But tell me: where was it that Zhaozhou saw through the old woman?"
