團欒佛眼不能窺。底事巍巍聖莫知。香霧幾重藏不得。
寒光一點照無時。髑髏識盡方還爾。
色相情忘始到伊。覿面堂堂難辨的。曾郎潦倒號難提。

Round and complete, the Buddha eye cannot peer into it;
What is this lofty affair? Sages cannot know it.
Several layers of fragrant mist cannot conceal it;
A single speck of cold radiance shines across timelessness.
Only when consciousness in the skull is exhausted does one return to this;
Only when forms and emotions are forgotten does one reach that.
Revealed directly and dignified, its mark is hard to discern;
Penniless fellow Zeng finds its name difficult to raise.
