大師滅度之日，寺內異香氛氳，經數日不散。山崩地動，林木變白，日月無光，風雲失色。八月三日滅度，至十一月迎和尚神座於漕溪山，葬在龍龕之內，白光出現，直上衝天，三日始散。韶州刺史韋據立碑，至今供養。

On the day of the Master's parinirvāṇa, an extraordinary fragrance filled the monastery, not dispersing for several days. Mountains crumbled, the earth shook, forest trees turned white, the sun and moon lost their light, and the wind and clouds lost their color. He entered parinirvāṇa on the third day of the eighth month, and in the eleventh month, the Master's spirit seat was escorted to Caoxi Mountain and interred within a dragon niche. A white light appeared, shooting straight up into the sky, dispersing only after three days. Wei Ju, the prefect of Shaozhou, erected a stele, and offerings are made down to the present day.
