"The nature containing the myriad phenomena is 'great'; the myriad phenomena are entirely the own-nature. Seeing all humans and non-humans, evil and good, bad phenomena and good phenomena, none are abandoned, yet one cannot be tainted or attached to them. Being like empty space is named 'great'; this is the practice of mahā. Deluded people recite it with their mouths; wise people practice it with their minds. There are also deluded people who empty their minds and do not think, calling this 'great'; this, too, is not it. The capacity of the mind is vast and great, but if you do not practice it, it is small. Do not speak vainly with your mouth without cultivating this practice; [otherwise] you are not my disciple.
