1.60

師言：「善知識！若欲修行，在家亦得，不由在寺。在家能行，如東方人心善；在寺不修，如西方人心惡。但心清淨，即是自性西方。」

The Master said: "Good friends! If you wish to cultivate practice, you may do so at home; it does not depend on being in a monastery. Being able to practice at home is like an easterner whose mind is good; being in a monastery without cultivating is like a westerner whose mind is evil. If only the mind is pure, that is the West of svabhāva."
