"The svabhāva of tathatā is the true Buddha; / Wrong views and the three poisons are the Demon King. / When one is deluded by wrongness, the demon resides in the house; / When one has right views, the Buddha is in the hall. / When wrong views and the three poisons arise in one's nature, / It is just the Demon King coming to dwell in the house; / When right views on their own eliminate the mind of the three poisons, / The demon turns into the Buddha, truly without falsehood. / The dharmakāya, saṃbhogakāya, and nirmāṇakāya— / The three bodies are originally one body. / If within one's nature one can see this for oneself, / That is the cause of bodhi for attaining buddhahood. / The pure nature is originally born from the nirmāṇakāya; / The pure nature is constantly within the nirmāṇakāya. / The nature causes the nirmāṇakāya to practice the right path; / In the future, its perfection will be truly boundless. / The nature of lust is originally the cause of the pure nature; / Removing lust is itself the body of pure nature. / Within one's nature, let each depart from the five desires; / The moment one sees into one's nature, it is the true reality. / If in this life one encounters the gate of the sudden teaching, / Suddenly awakening to one's svabhāva, one sees the World-Honoured One. / If one wishes to practice and seek to become a Buddha, / Not knowing where to seek the true reality, / If within one's mind one can see the true for oneself, / Having the true is itself the cause of attaining buddhahood. / Not seeing one's svabhāva and seeking the Buddha outside, / The arising of such thoughts makes one an utter fool. / The Dharma gate of the sudden teaching has now been left behind; / To save the people of the world, one must cultivate it oneself. / I tell you who study the Way in the future: / If you do not adopt this view, you will wander aimlessly in vast delusion."
