問曰。若不見性。念佛誦經。布施持戒精進。廣興福利。得成佛否。答曰。不得。

Question: "If one does not see the nature, but is mindful of the Buddha, recites sūtras, gives, upholds the precepts, is vigorous, and widely produces blessings and merit, can one become a Buddha?"
Answer: "One cannot."
