弘沇法師云。若人執眾生心外別有無情。佛性不遍。皆違如來藏遍法界義。唯識論云。根身器世間。即是賴耶相分。相分不離見分。又云。若時於所緣。智都無所得。離二取相故。真實住唯識。如第六識緣現在心。唯一剎那。誰為能所。設緣三世。亦現在心。妄分能所。若得此意。三界唯心。法界一相。亦何不適。

Dharma Master Hongyan says: 'If someone clings to there being insentient things apart from the minds of sentient beings, so that Buddha-nature is not omnipresent, all such views contradict the meaning that the tathāgatagarbha pervades the dharmadhātu. The Consciousness-Only Treatise says: "The physical body and the receptacle world are none other than the nimittabhāga of the ālaya[vijñāna]. The nimittabhāga is not separate from the darśanabhāga." It also says: "When wisdom apprehends nothing whatsoever regarding objects of cognition, because it is free from the characteristics of the two graspers, it truly abides in representation-only." For instance, when the sixth consciousness takes the present mind as its object, it is only a single kṣaṇa; what could be the grasper and the grasped? Even if it takes the three times as objects, it is still the present mind falsely dividing grasper and grasped. If one grasps this meaning, the three realms are mind-only, and the dharmadhātu is of one characteristic—how could it not be fitting?'
