Answer: This contains two meanings. 1. Dependent arising through mutual reliance: strictly in terms of host and companion, this also clarifies mutual identification and entry. That is, to be the host there must be one; to be companions there must be many. This 'one' is the one that is immediately many—the all-in-one. The 'many' are the many that are entirely one—the one-in-all. 2. The mutual penetration of power and function: in one there is all. The body of Samantabhadra is inconceivable, and briefly has three categories: 1. the body conforming to category, because what is seen by humans, devas, and so forth is not identical; 2. the gradually superior body, adorned with marks such as riding a six-tusked elephant; 3. the body that exhausts the dharmadhātu, endlessly layered like Indra's net. This third body includes the previous two bodies and the inexhaustible body.
