問。凡申弘教。開示化人。應須自行功圓。歷位親證。方酬本願。開方便門。則所利非虛。不違正教。今之所錄。有何證明。

Question: Whenever one propagates the teaching and offers instruction to transform others, one must have perfected one's own practice and personally verified the stages before fulfilling one's original vow and opening the gate of expedient means, so that the benefit conferred is not in vain and does not contravene the correct teaching. What proof is there for what is recorded now?
