問。諸佛方便教門。皆依眾生根起。根性不等。法乃塵沙。三十七品助道之門。五十二位修行之路。云何唯立一心以為宗鏡。

Question: The expedient teaching gates of all buddhas all arise based on the faculties of sentient beings. Because faculties and natures are unequal, dharmas are as numerous as dust and sand: the gates of the thirty-seven factors of awakening, and the path of practice of the fifty-two stages. Why establish only the one mind as the Mirror of the Source?
