問。了義大乘。廣略周備。解一義具圓通之見。聞一偈有成佛之功。何假述成。仍煩解釋。

Question: The definitive Mahāyāna is complete in both its extensive and abridged forms. Understanding a single meaning endows one with the view of perfect penetration; hearing a single verse has the efficacy of attaining buddhahood. Why rely on another compilation, further troubling oneself with explanation?
