夫正因佛性。眾生共有。經云。不由觀智所顯。則道常披露。云何異生。迷而不悟。
Now, the Buddha-nature as primary cause is possessed in common by sentient beings. A sūtra says: 'Not revealed by means of contemplative wisdom, the Way is constantly laid bare.' Why are ordinary beings deluded and unawakened?
