問。如上所說。即心即佛之旨。西天此土。祖佛同詮。理事分明。如同眼見。云何又說非心非佛。

Question: As explained above, regarding the purport that 'this very mind is the Buddha', the patriarchs and buddhas of India and China teach the same thing; principle and phenomena are distinct and clear, as if seen with one's own eyes. Why is it also said that 'it is neither mind nor Buddha'?
