32.10

如龍樹菩薩問曰。若菩薩知佛是福田。眾生非福田。是非菩薩法。菩薩以何力故。能令佛與畜生等。

As Bodhisattva Nāgārjuna asked: 'If a bodhisattva knows that the Buddha is a field of merit and that sentient beings are not fields of merit, this is not the bodhisattva's dharma. By what power is a bodhisattva able to make the Buddha and animals equal?'
