Answer: The first five evolving consciousnesses can perfume the seeds of the nimittabhāga of the ālayavijñāna. The sixth manovijñāna can perfume the seeds of both the nimittabhāga and darśanabhāga of the eighth consciousness. The seventh manas only perfumes the seeds of the darśanabhāga of the eighth consciousness.
