51.24

問。不違世間非學即可爾。又如世尊於小乘阿含經。亦許色離識有。學者小乘。共計心外有其實境。豈不違於阿含等教。學者小乘。

Question: 'If it does not contradict the world of the non-learned, that may be so. Furthermore, just as the World-Honoured One in the Hīnayāna Āgamas also accepted that matter exists apart from consciousness, and Hīnayāna scholars universally reckon that real objects exist outside of mind, does this not contradict scriptures such as the Āgamas and Hīnayāna scholars?'
