答。緣三藏量中。犯有法差別相違過。因明之法。量。若有過。許著言遮。今三藏量既有此過。故置自許言遮。

Answer: Because in the Tripiṭaka Master's inference, there would be the fallacy of contradiction with the qualification of the subject (dharmiviśeṣaviparītasādhana). According to the rules of Hetuvidyā, if an inference has a fallacy, one is permitted to add words to ward it off. Now, since the Tripiṭaka Master's inference had this fallacy, he posited the words "accepted by oneself" to ward it off.
