答。識實性故。識俱。有故。不離識故。非我法依故。但說識。不說真如。故知真如即識。識即真如。

Answer: Because it is the real nature of consciousness, because it is co-existent with consciousness, because it is not separate from consciousness, and because it is not a basis for [grasping at] self or phenomena, it merely mentions consciousness and does not mention tathatā. Therefore, know that tathatā is consciousness, and consciousness is tathatā.
