答。欲顯依他性。具有三性。一識。從種子生。是依他。有種種識相貌。是分別。分別實無所有。是真實性。一識。謂一本識。本識變異。為諸識故。

Answer: It wishes to show that the dependent nature possesses all three natures. The one consciousness arising from seeds is the dependent; having the features of various consciousnesses is discrimination; that discrimination is truly non-existent is the real nature. The one consciousness refers to the one fundamental consciousness; because the fundamental consciousness transforms, it becomes the various consciousnesses.
