問。心外無法。祖佛正宗。今目覩森羅。初學難曉。不細開示。何以斷疑。須憑徵詰之由。以破情塵之執。

Question: That there are no dharmas outside the mind is the orthodox source of the buddhas and ancestors. Now, seeing the myriad phenomena before our eyes, beginners find it difficult to understand. Without detailed explanation, how can doubts be severed? We must rely on examination and interrogation to break attachments to emotional defilements.
