所以唯識樞要問云。若諸識生似我法時。為皆由我法分別熏習之力。為亦不由。若皆由者。八識五識無二分別。生果時應不似二。若不由者。此中何故但說我法熏習為因。

Therefore, the Vijñaptimātra-shūyào asks: 'When the consciousnesses arise resembling self and dharmas, is it entirely through the force of the perfuming of the discrimination of self and dharmas, or is it also not through it? If it is entirely through it, the eighth consciousness and the five consciousnesses lack the two discriminations, so when producing their fruits, they should not resemble the two. If it is not through it, why is it said here only that the perfuming of self and dharmas is the cause?'
