答。古德云。因緣者。隨。俗差別。即。是因緣相望。顯無自性義。正是俗諦體也。緣。起者。順。性無分別。即。是相即相融。顯平等義。正。順第一義諦體也。

Answer: A former virtuous one said: 'Cause-and-condition conforms to conventional distinctions; that is, causes and conditions viewing each other reveals the meaning of self-naturelessness, which is precisely the substance of the conventional truth. Dependent origination accords with the non-differentiation of the nature; that is, mutual identity and mutual fusion reveals the meaning of equality, which precisely accords with the substance of the ultimate truth.'
