74.33

答。亦有見本有身。瑜伽論云。或云唯見男。或唯見女。如是漸近彼之處所。漸漸不見父母餘處。唯見男女根門。又若薄福中有。當生下賤貧窮家者。彼於死時及入胎者。便聞種種紛飛不可意聲。若是福德位中有。當生富貴家者。彼於爾時。自然聞美妙可意音聲。乃至香味觸境。亦有階降。

Answer: It also sees the body of fundamental existence. The Yogācārabhūmi says: it is said that it sees only the male, or sees only the female; gradually approaching their location, it gradually ceases to see the other parts of the parents, seeing only the male and female organs. Furthermore, if it is an intermediate existence of meager merit destined to be born into a base and impoverished family, at the time of death and upon entering the womb it will hear various chaotic and disagreeable sounds; if it is an intermediate existence of meritorious rank destined to be born into a wealthy and noble family, at that time it naturally hears exquisite and agreeable sounds, and even the objects of scent, taste, and touch have grades.
