76.6

問。五陰一法。即妄即真。既作塵勞生死之門。又成出世菩提之道。今且推妄。生死無從。經云。此陰纔滅。彼陰便生。既唯識無人。前陰滅。後陰如何得生。

Question: The single phenomenon of the five aggregates is both false and true; it serves as the gate of worldly toil and saṃsāra, and also constitutes the path of supramundane bodhi. Now, if we investigate the false, saṃsāra has nowhere to come from. A sūtra says: "No sooner does this aggregate perish than that aggregate arises." Since there is only consciousness and no person, when the prior aggregate perishes, how can the subsequent aggregate arise?
