9.12

問。若言無師自證者。即墮自然之計。執從他解者。仍涉因緣之門。且大道之性。非是自然。亦非因緣。云何開示而乖道體。

Question: If one says there is realization by oneself without a teacher, one falls into the view of spontaneous origination; if one clings to understanding from another, one still enters the gate of causes and conditions. Furthermore, the nature of the Great Path is neither spontaneous origination nor causes and conditions. How can one explain it without conflicting with the substance of the Path?
