94.5

大方廣佛華嚴經頌云。言詞所說法。小智妄分別。是故生障礙。不了於自心。不能了自心。云何知正道。彼由顛倒想。增長一切惡。

A verse in the Buddhāvataṃsaka Sūtra says: / "Regarding the Dharma expounded by verbal expressions, / Those of lesser wisdom make false discriminations; / Therefore obstacles arise, / And they do not understand their own citta. / If one cannot understand one's own citta, / How can one know the right path? / Due to their inverted thoughts, / They augment all evils."
