97.17

第八祖佛陀難提付法偈云。虛空無內外。心法亦如是。若了虛空故。是達真如理。

The Dharma-entrustment verse of the eighth patriarch, Buddhanandi, says:
“Empty space has neither inside nor outside;
The citta-dharma is also like this.
If one comprehends empty space,
One has reached the principle of tathatā.”
