第十九祖鳩摩羅多尊者傳法偈云。性上本無生。為對求人說。於法既無得。何懷決不決。

The Dharma-transmission verse of the nineteenth patriarch, the venerable Kumāralāta, says:
“In nature there is fundamentally no birth;
It is spoken for the sake of those who seek.
Since regarding dharmas there is nothing attained,
Why cherish certainty or uncertainty?”
